You've done far better than me. I've always wanted to write a book. My problem is, I haven't a clue what I could write about. And now I've put that out there, I'm probably going to have a Feed full of 'how to write a novel'!!
Ha ha ha! I think you have much to write about, your life is full of fabulous ways of beating the systems and you could write them down as a legacy for your nephews and nieces! I can see it as a sort of recipe book for kids who want to live more in tune with the earth. Go for it!
That is so awesome that you have three complete novel drafts! I have started and written a third of two novels. Your observation that probably because of capitalism it seems like getting help from the outside is what we must do and that we ought to pay for it totally resonates. Revision is something I have yet to face in fiction. I have published an academic book and a few articles in my historian role. I wish you the best. I want to encourage and support you in going forward and trying your best. Also, you mentioned your cat. Save the cat! I'm sitting next to my old lady feline who has quit eating and drinking. She is taking a slow and graceful exit. It is very sad. We have savored one another well.
